Opera is making headlines again as it continues to provide some concrete analysis on how they have a firm grasp in the mobile web browsing market. Opera Software announced today that the Opera Mini mobile browser reached a new milestone as it strolled pass by the 50 million unique monthly users mark last month. It specifically showcases how mobile phone users are seemingly adamant on using the application for their web surfing needs – its usage increased well over 150 percent when compared to the results found last year when approximately 20 million users were using it. According to Garnter, “mobile phones will overtake PCs as the most common Web access device worldwide” by 2013 – clearing the path and setting the the pace is Opera Mini with its continued growth. It already left its mark with AT&T by making it the default web browser on most feature phones and will possibly continue to see usage when an expected iPhone app is rumored to be making an arrival.
