While the latter is an older acquaintance of ours that was cancelled in the States, the first phone is a mystery. Both models have been uncovered in the “Compatible Devices” section for [...]

On a recent conference call discussing their Q4 2010 performance, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said that “there are multiple ecosystem patterns that need to be considered” as they move forward, one of several remarks in the call that analysts are interpreting as a sign that Nokia may abandon Symbian and the as-yet-unseen MeeGo and instead begin producing Android-powered smartphones.

Nokia, the world’s largest cell phone manufacturer, has at last come up with the cheapest touchscreen nokia handset. Its lower cost doesn’t seems to have got any effect on the amount to features and great offers that comes with it. It is fully money value pack for the customers and a must buy phone. Read on as we disclose the cell features and its latest upgrading.

People now can get a phone worth its value, with Nokia C3-01 touch and type. The strong built quality of the phone is just amazing and people can completely rely on them. The smartphone is built on stainless steel and has metal bezel covering around the screen. It also has a metal plate at the back.

The Nokia C3-01 touch and type is little thicker and stronger than Nokia X3 touch and type who share many similar factors and features. It is 11mm thick which is thicker than many touchscreen handset in the market. The most attracting feature of this cell phone was its thick and large buttons. They were easy to use and flexible too. They are large enough to adjust the fingers and thumbs.

The buttons which were added on the side panel were little annoying. Though they are of high quality and also add great look to the phone but they are little small in size. The lock button especially proves to be little fiddly.

The volume keys, lock buttons and the cameras shutter buttons are added on the side panel of Nokia C3-01 touch and type. This style is very common among most of the Nokia handsets.

The power adopter, 3.5mm headphone socket and a microSD USB port are included on the top of phone. Whereas, the left panel and left panel and the bottom of the phone are kept free from any buttons. This gives a sleek look to the phone and also add to its simplicity.

The screen included with Nokia C3-01 is 2.4 inch large and delivers big,  bright and colorful images. Web browsing with this phone may seem a little difficult. Symbian 3 devices usually comes with larger screen unlike Nokia C3-01 touch and type. the touch screen technology which is embedded in the phone makes using it easy as well as exciting.

The absence of navigation buttons on the Nokia C3-01 touch and type was not an issue as touch screens does it all. Navigation is more easy and you will forget navigation buttons.

The phone also has 5 mega pixel camera which is very common these days. So you get a whole lot of features which costlier smartphones gives at the cheapest rate. The camera delivers high end images and videos which can be shared on the Internet directly from the device.

There is another newer version of Nokia C3-01 available in the market, v05.65/0.68 and it’s better to get it if you can afford it,  but hey – faxless payday loans is the one that you can count for money . The new version does not adds any new features but it is a bug fix edition to the last version. It also adds more stability to the phone. Nokia claims latest edition to be more faster and smoother.

Being a Nokia blogger is not as exciting as it was some years ago. Nokia has been playing the “catch-up” game for too long now. They used to be the leader.

I was just playing with my Nokia N93 and I realized why I started a Nokia blog in the first place: they were the ones that came up with the cool gadgets, the innovations – and everyone else played the catch-up game…

But Nokia stopped innovating. Its last effort, the N8, makes me laugh when I compare it to my other phones. In every other aspect, but the camera, the N8 lags behind my Galaxy S, and more recently, my Samsung Focus.

I have to be honest, I sold the N8 I was given by Nokia. I was not using the N8, it was just pretty hardware with an annoying, horrible, and unattractive UI and UX.

I have not given up on Nokia though… There is MeeGo coming, and there are the updates that used to be Symbian 4 coming too… But until Nokia gets my attention back, this blog will remain without updates…..

 Nokia has let me down...

The first time I heard it I wasn’t too sure about it, but now it’s coming from two different sources, so this has to be true. A tweet from the Editor-In-Chief of MobileBulgaria states that the Nokia X7 “seems” to be an exclusive of AT&T in the United States. In my opinion, this is a strong rumor coming from two sources that have predicted a number of Nokia-related events ahead of time.

att nokia x7 Rumor: Nokia X7 Will Come to the US Exclusively With AT&T

If true, these would be excellent news for Nokia here in the US – where they have absolutely zero presence. It will be a tough fight though, the market is already plagued with Droids, iPhone, and now Windows Phone 7 devices; each with a ridiculously strong marketing campaign that we have never seen coming from Nokia. The X7 could do well here, it could also mean that big-company apps would arrive to the Ovi Store together with this US release. More news to come!

So I finally got Swype on the Nokia N8, however, just as I was afraid, there is no portrait keyboard! That is classical Nokia, release something that works half-way well. But don’t get me wrong, Swype might come with portrait mode in the future, but we can’t tell for sure. The Swype I got is official, I downloaded it from the Ovi Store by tricking it to believe I was using a C7 – because Swype is available right now officially for the C7. So those who say I am criticizing something before it is available, just think of it like this: if you had a C7 and had “legitimately” downloaded Swype, you would get landscape mode only, yeah, frustrating. And who Swypes in landscape mode? It is the most inconvenient thing to do since you have to slide your thumb on a very wide surface, is just bad design and ergonomics.

swype on n8 1024x768 Got Swype Working On N8! No Portrait Keyboard Though

Anyway, to get Swype on your Nokia N8, just follow these steps:

1. Go to http://store.ovi.com/content/58438/ and select your phone to be a Nokia C7. Then select “Send to a Friend” and send the link to yourself.

2. After you receive the SMS on your N8, open the link. You should now be in the Ovi Store, seeing the Swype app. Just download it and wait for it to be installed.

3. Make sure it finished installing, and restart the N8. Now go to “Apps” and you will find Swype right there.

4. I don’t remember well if you have to turn on Swype on the menu from the last step, but you can play with the settings. Anyway, you will know Swype is on when you rotate the phone to landscape and see the keyboard is now different. And like we told you already, no portrait Swype…

Hopefully Nokia will make Swype available for the N8, and with portrait mode too. We’ll keep you informed!

The wait for the N8 has been ridiculous….really. While most major companies announce a product and put it in the market within months, Nokia has this horrible custom of letting fans wait for months, months, and months. To put it in perspective, the iPhone 4, announced this past June, was released that same month. The Blackberry Torch, announced this past August, was released too, the same month. Compare that to the N8, we know about the N8 officially since April, and it’s September and no news about it? Well, until now because we got some answers!

NOKIA N8 LIVE 1024x680 When is The N8 Shipping in The US? We Got Some Answers!

Today I got in contact with the folks over at Nokia USA, and got some interesting information on the status of the N8. First of, they said there is a very strong pre-order demand. This means, there’s actually a queue. If you were one of the very first people to pre-order the N8, you will get your N8 shipped tomorrow, September 30th. If you ordered after that first batch, you will get your N8 shipped anytime during October. That is all the info we got, but is pretty substantial. In our own personal opinion, we think that Nokia didn’t foresee the huge demand this phone would have in the US, so they might take some extra days to deliver those N8s. Keep us updated! Tell us below whether your N8 shipped, or not….

Remember the Nokia N93? It was a pretty advanced phone in its era, but, I specially remember it because of the awesome flashlight feature. You just pressed a button and the LED Flash lighted your way, showed you your lost keys, and let you bug your friends by pointing the flash to their faces.

torch nokia e7 1024x680 Nokia E7 and C7: The Torch Feature Is Back!

This awesome feature is back! And it is better integrated this time as there is no dedicated flashlight button, yet it works better than if it there was one. By holding the unlock key on the Nokia E7 or the Nokia C7, the flash will turn on. You can either hold to it for the light to remain on, or you can hold it shortly and the flashlight will remain on for a couple of seconds before automatically going off. This feature is a small one, but little things like this is what makes a device great. We are already waiting for the E7 and C7 to start shipping! (for those asking whether the N8 has this feature, just remember the N8 has a Xenon flash, so it can’t remain ON)
