Since it was born, smartphone more and more take over cell phone market. At this time, cell phone vendors are racing to launch their smartphone. They are trying to offer customers with special features that built inside their smartphones. Each smartphone vendor own special features on their smartphones. Although, some of them sometimes do as other does.
If we are talking about the smartphone progress, we must discuss about operating system that runs the smartphones. Like explain above, each smartphone powered by each operating system. Usually smartphones powered by these operating systems, such as Symbian, Research In Motion (RIM), iPhone OS, Microsoft Windows Mobile, Linux, Android, WebOS and others. Of course, we always hear about Symbian, Research In Motion, iPhone OS and Microsoft Windows Mobile. Rests of them are rare used by smartphone vendors. Although we are familiar with Android that used on Google gadget recently.
According to Gartner statistic, Symbian is the most using operating system in smartphone market. Symbian take 46.9% of smartphone market in 2009. Close to half of smartphone market. Nokia that use Symbian as its operating system also take 36.4% of smartphones market in 2009. So Nokia and Symbian will dominate the smartphone market with their composition.
